Question 4 Who would be the audience for your media product?

Demographics:

This is Abigail Creak she comes from Nottinghamshire and belongs to a large family of Charismatic Christians. She is 18 years old, and has many friends around her age in her church.

Psychographics:

Lifestyle: From Monday to Friday Abi attends College, after college she spends time with friends and family. On Sundays she goes to Church with her family. She is currently taking driving and singing in her own time.

Characters: Abi is generally a very happy and positive person, although sometimes she needs a little encouragement as she often gets a little bogged down with work. She is an extremely talented singer; she belongs to a singing group called Cantamus. She has a very good relationship with her brother and sisters, and misses them a lot when their away.

Fashion: Like most teenage girls Abi loves fashion, she shops in places like River Island, New look, Outfit and Fat Face. Although she likes expensive brands like Jack Wills she’s not afraid to scout charity shops for some bargains.

Education: She is currently at college studying A2 Art, Design and History. As she is coming to the end of her college years she is looking for a good university to attend along with a good church that she can attend while she is studying.

Music: She loves to listen to secular groups and relates most to the Indie genre. She keeps up to date with all the latest Christian bands. Regardless of student finance issues, she and is a dedicated attendee of annual Christian music festivals such as Mobilise.  She loves to read articles on the latest Christian news especially new band releases. At Church she loves to sing worship songs, this is another genre she enjoys listening and singing along to.

TV Programmes: As much as Abi loves to watch Christian programmes except there aren’t so many Christian Programmes around. She tries to watch the God Channel but often finds it boring as she feels it’s directed towards old people. On the rare occasion she switched on the TV and found her favourite band playing, or videos of Christian Festivals were she watches attentively to see herself in the crowd. She likes Programmes like Friends as a light bit of entertainment in the evenings. Other than this Abi isn’t a very big TV phonetic, she prefers to be active, going out with her friends. In her spare time she loves to paint, combined with some gentle music; this is a form of relaxation for her.

Why would Abi Subscribe to my magazine?

Abi would subscribe to my magazine because I have catered it to provide information and references to her best interests. Music is the biggest feature in my magazine; my magazine is up to date with the latest news, and provides interesting articles on the most popular artists. I could advertise the magazine in large churches that have a large congregation of teenagers and young adults. I could advertise using Christian TV channels, YouTube, Spotify and at Christian music Festivals.
